We left Macinaw Island at 6:15 am. We are blessed with another crystal clear day. The Macinaw Bridge was so fun to see. We stopped at Beaver Island and paid $4.69 per gallon for gas! YIKES. Needless to say, we just put in 30 gallons and did not fill up here. We walked to a local bakery and had breakfast… the best blueberry pancakes ever. And, Dana had a few too many cups of coffee and talked, talked, talked, talked, talked all day long. I don’t think a minute went by without a comment about something. We laughed so hard. Tomorrow, a ONE CUP limit. We might have to rename him “Donkey” because he talks as much as the donkey on Shrek! We love it though. We saw a very unique Roamer when leaving the gas dock, and Kip took pictures of it to send to the Roamer club. Also, when our boat was getting pumped out, the waste went right into the lake. Neat, huh?
The girls were busy getting up-do hairdos done and finding the clues hidden in the boat for a treasure hunt while the guys were maneuvering their way through “The Devil’s Door” (which is Door County).
We then drove to Washington Island, and the marina master said “You really want to come here?” We turned around and left and went to Sister Bay where one of the restaurants have live goats eating and running around on their grass roof. After a few hours of walking around and eating root beer floats, we moved on to Fish Creek. We went shopping and got groceries. We went into a shop, a very expensive shop, and Suzy noticed that Mykenzie was spinning a globe worth $2,500. We quickly left that shop and walked back to the marina and ate in the dark.
The girls made banana cream pie for dessert and a round of Apples to Apples ensued. And no, we just don’t eat sweets all day. We also walk around… so it evens out. Kip did a great job driving today. Some of the spots were less than ideal for docking. And Dana talked us through the navigation. Tomorrow… who knows.

Glad to hear you made it through Devil's Door. You know they call it that because of all the ships sunk there in the 19th century?
We have eaten a couple times at the restaurant with the goats.
