Most of us slept late, until about 7:30 am. Dana had Mountain Dew, so he was not talking as much as yesterday. His back is hurting though. We went shopping again for a while, and then we took off for Egg Harbor. While walking to a park, we saw more stores! So, of course, we went shopping. Mary found sample dips at one shop. All of us left, and Mary was having a buffet lunch and forgot to leave with us. We found the cheapest gas in Door County, but the guys made up for it by purchasing $5.00 gelatto cones. We stayed there about two hours and left for Sturgeon Bay.
It is very hot, so we walked down to the hotel where there was an outdoor pool. The girls, Dana and Kip swam while Suzy and Shelly planned the agenda for Friday. By the way, Sturgeon Bay Harbor View Marina has the nicest bathrooms around! No contest.
After swimming, we went to eat at Sonny’s pizza in town. The kids did not like it very much. So, we had ice cream. We stopped by the Marine Maritime Museum and looked at the outside artifacts. Then we walked across the bridge to the Palmer Johnson shipyard. The doors were open and we were looking inside at the 100+ foot luxury liners being built. Very amazing.
It was a very laid back day. Mykenzie told a potty joke, and the girls must have laughed for 15 minutes, and the parents didn’t get it. Oh, to be young. The weather is still beautiful and calm.
